Just some New poems That I wrote For you I used to be quite Good at it When I was younger But somehow I lost the knack- Or the knack lost me - It comes and goes Now it’s time To start again I hope I can Remember how A poem goes? After the Ambulance was over (Part 2) It was over 42 years today Started after Sgt Pepper Taught the band to play Then it all stopped Just like that. Looking through the picture window Of the Dushanbe Hilton Sane as all the others Name a country Been in most of them Time to stop Just like that… Before the darkness takes over. Seeing someone You know so well Known so long Look so frail Look so weak Frightens you Or it would have before But not now. I know it’s only A matter of time And we’ll be looking At each other like that And be holding Each other tight Wanting that much longer Just a bit longer Just so much longer Before we Look so frail Look so weak Before we go forever.Need you with me Always Because without you There is no me. To know you Is to Love you Is to Know you Is to You know Don’t you By now?
