Bravo Mr Johnson
Nice to see you; to see you not nice
You’re here to answer questions
About your embedded life vice
We meet, we greet, we call to order
You take your seat with
Tax payer defence at your shoulder
Sitting behind in available rows
Are your herd-like companions
Who in your honour will crow
You’re here for a reason
Both serious and sad
That in words of common parlance
You’ve been naughty and bad
When in the days of our lockdown
With families driven apart
You totally knowingly
Tore your own guidance apart
Believing that somehow
In Downing Street it’s alright
To stage drinks and events
Because
“I’m me and I’m right”
Then when challenged in the Commons
As so you should be
You misleadingly misled because
“It’s OK; it’s just me”
And now you’re back peddling
To try and regain
Your sense of entitlement
But you’ve forgotten again
That people remember
And remember they well
That lockdown cost dearly
So why should they quell
The anger that’s rising
As you force in their face
Your pathetic little stories
Of how to meetings you’d race
To toast and to talk
“So, pass me a glass
And now let me squeeze through
For I must sadly dash”
To sit there, how dare you
saying
How insulted you’ll be
If you’re found to be guilty
Of what’s so obvious to see
How under your leadership
In sprawling No. 10
You drank and you boasted
That you’d do it again
Bravo Mr Johnson
To see you not’s nice
I hope you’re indicted
Of your embedded life vice
