There’s a lot of black,
a fair bit of white
and more than enough red.
There’s a smidgen of brown
a sprinkling of olive
but mostly black, white and red.

Black of the tactical
military gear which wraps
angry white faces
as they beat dark red blood
out of the brown-skinned taxi driver
and olive-skinned pizza boy.

There’s a lot of black,
a fair bit of white
and even more red.
There’s no more
brown
or olive.

Black, white and red.
The colours of fascism.
